Steve has been in the Utah assisted living industry since 1998 when Bel Aire built its first facility. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in financial planning & counseling, and an MBA in finance. He is passionate about the assisted living industry, and through his participation in the Utah Assisted Living Association he has assisted in raising functional building code standards and caregiving rules and policies industry- wide.
Steve loves to serve in leadership roles. He has served on the Utah Assisted Living Association board of directors since 2004, including two stints as Association president. Steve also served two four-year terms on the governor-appointed State of Utah Health Facilities Committee, which he chaired from 2015 to 2018.
Steve is also a member and past president of the Provo Rotary Club affiliated with Rotary International.
When Steve is not working he loves to spend time with his family, cooking Sunday dinners, running triathlons, playing golf, and reading good books. He and his wife, Allison, are originally from Southern California, and they have seven terrific children and two fantastic grandchildren.
Two things you might not know about Steve are that he is a former LDS Stake President and he ran the decathlon in college at BYU.
